Are you ready to demolish dieting?
On the call last night, one of the participants talked about issues she was having with creating a “Way of Eating” that works for her. In BodyWay, diet is a 4-letter word. We don’t diet, because to diet typically means we choose some form of eating that implies restriction or deprivation and brings up horrible feelings of self-loathing, self-abuse, shame, guilt and fear. Instead of dieting, we use a special set of questions that help you discover a........

Our Body is a Reflection of Mind
What energy, space and consciousness can you BE, to allow total peace , ease and happiness with food and your body for all eternity? What would it take to step out of the density of struggle and realize the magnitude of who you are? Are you sick of struggling within the confines of a limited belief that there is something wrong with you? Wouldn’t it be great to release that belief now and for all time? When we begin to ask........

Deprivation: Truth or Lie?
I'm writing to share something a client shared with me (with permission). Not because I want to brag but because I want you to know that you don't have to continue living the horror of deprivation and obsession or compulsion you may be living. You can be free!! Here is what she emailed me the morning after our session together: "I hope you are having a wonderful day! I just wanted to thankyou for such a powerful session last night. The revelations I have made........

What Is Wrong With Me?
by Christie Wilson (Certified BodyWay Coach) Do you ever find yourself smack dab in the middle of a problem you thought you had solved? A problem you should be able to easily solve, but can’t? Should be simple, but persists? This week I found myself confronted with a situation, once again. Ugh! I screamed in my head! “What is wrong with me?” I scribbled in my journal in frustration. Looking at the page and the big scribbled letters I laughed, as the Ah ha........

What We Resist, Persists
By Lisa Markham (BodyWay Coach) Have you ever noticed that what you resist, seems to persist? I have been reflecting on my life and how I resisted being fat for years, by going on diets and exercise programs, and self help magic formulas. But guess what always persisted? Me being fat, no matter how hard I dieted. I might get myself down to what I thought was a good weight, but within a blink of an eye, my weight would balloon back in quarter the time........

The Call of Change
by Christie Wilson (certified BodyWay Coach) The only constant in this journey of life is change. It is how we grow and move through life. Each day is filled with moments of possibility to change, but they are often overlooked as they are not packaged they way we want to see them or feel them. Let’s face it. Change can feel scary, out of control, and flat out impossible at times. We want it, but don’t want it. This love/hate relationship can keep us in........

Is Nurture for Sissies?!
By Lisa (Bodyway Coach) Well, the short answer to this is ABSOLUTELY NOT! *big grin*. The long answer to this is that Nurture is a profound gift to give yourself. And many people do not give themselves enough nurture to really flourish, and embody their potential. Yet it is the ability to embody our wholeness, our potential, which sustains us, and allows us to live with joy, vigour and confidence. Without nurture, we use will-power, mind-altering drugs, such as........

The Conundrum of Not Being Able to Stop
Not everyone is in this predicament. Some people overeat a little everyday and have a hard time managing portions. Other people just can't stop eating at all. I was one of the latter kinds of people. I'd start eating and wouldn't be able to stop until I was so stuffed I hurt really bad. This is abusive behavior. There is no magic wand, no way to chain you up so you don't keep eating, no way to turn you into a "thin" "beautiful" "perfect" person over night!........

Anorexia, Binge-Eating, Overeating, Bulimia?
As I’m engaged in a Personal Healing Program here at my Portland Center I am again aware of how much our eating behaviors are learned methods of dealing with trauma. Trauma is best described as an event that occurs that is overwhelming for the nervous system to process or integrate. The bottled up fight/flight response gets stuck and the individual finds he or she can't resolve what has occurred. If a child is young when a trauma like this occurs, she........
